  • We were in the market for an Audi A5 Coupe, a BMW 4 series Coupe, an MB C or E class Coupe or an Alfa Romeo Giulia (only comes in a sedan so was wife's last choice). We ultimately bought an MB, but not from MB of Chandler. So far, here is my experience at this dealership: After driving an A5 Coupe at their neighbor, Audi Chandler, we moved my Jeep 100 ft and got out to look at MBs. We parked right in front of the showroom, then started walking around the lot, where we spent about 25 minutes with the vehicles. A representative with another couple in tow came and went from the showroom and clearly noticed us but, alas, no one ever greeted us. So, eventually, we walked back to my Jeep and began to leave. Only at that time did someone come out of the showroom and appear to perhaps, just maybe, be headed in our direction. Too late. When I was younger and I just liked to go look at sexy cars with no intention of buying anything, I was fine if nobody acknowledged me at the dealership. They weren't going to get a sale off me anyway so why should they waste their time? These days, when I'm genuinely in the market for something specific, it's a let down when I have questions I can't get answered because nobody bothers to talk to me. The dealership did not look busy. I did not see hustle bustle and other than the one couple and their sales rep, there was nobody else wandering around outside looking at cars. I'm guessing that my wife and I were not approached out of laziness. I don't think the one rep who noticed us (but already had customers) said anything to anybody else inside the showroom, and I don't think anyone else even noticed we were there until we were already leaving. Pay attention. MB Chandler has a great selection of vehicles, which is too bad because we bought one, just not from them. I hope that if we decide to visit them in the future for service, someone notices we're there.
