| - I love PIP!! I am fortunate to work really close by and get the luxury of noon-hour strolls through the park during the summer. This is one of Calgary's most beautiful inner city attractions. The park is very well maintained; nice and clean, beautiful flowers, great paths, etc!
There are often boot camp or yoga classes in different corners of the park, lots of lovey-dovy couples and families out for a picnic, millions of runners taking advantage of the paths, and cute little food vendors around the area! It makes for a wonderful mid day stroll!
On the weekends, the grass areas are packed with people enjoying the sun! Hacky-sack, bocce ball, Frisbee, football, baseball, kite flying, you name it, it's happening in this area! There are plenty little BBQ pits and picnic tables for all kinds of outings. Even a little park for the kids to enjoy. Shakespeare In The Park also is great for the kids to watch a live play!
A few times in the summer the park is occupied for a big festival which is even more fun. Beer garden, live great music, tons of people. It's amazing. Can we say "Tarp Race!"
