Since Jersey Boys will end its 8-years run and set to have the final show on September 18th, 2016 (http://lasvegassun.com/blogs/kats-report/2016/jun/07/jersey-boys-to-close-at-paris-las-vegas-on-sept-18/), I decided to catch the show last month before I lose the final opportunity to see this show ever again.
For $80 (including tax & fee), I got a pretty good seat with a great view (Row DD - 4th row away from the front stage). Jersey Boys is a 2-hour musical show (in addition to a short 8-minute break) about the rise and fall of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I will admit the show is mainly for older generations and folks who grew up with the Four Seasons music, but I did like the music and knew about 4~5 songs out of 20 something songs they performed (e.g. Can't Take My Eyes off You, Beggin, Sherry). The story plot was a bit slow at first, but once I started to make a dotted line connection and that one moment kicked in - the show suddenly became a lot more enjoyable. I overheard this old couple who sat right next to me and said singers were as sharp as the original the Four Seasons.
If you are coming here just for few songs that you know, then you come here for the wrong reason. I would recommend this show to anyone who like Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, but this will not be the show I would choose if I can only select one show to watch in Vegas. I put Jersey Boys the same category as the Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil - good but not a must watch show.
