I went to New Tribe to get my first, ever tattoo done- back in my rebellious days. I have my fair share of reasons for giving them a 3... seems to be a hit or miss at this place.
Customer service: meh. I don't know what the stigma is for people working in a tattoo parlous, but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't state, anywhere, that you need to be kinda douche-y or female dog-ish. The person at the desk and the person who actually did my tattoo fit both of those descriptions. Unfortunate.
I got my tattoo done on my right shoulder blade. The tattoo artist drew up the sketch pretty well, but when it came to actually tattooing, it was not so great. some of the lines were crooked and inconsistent in terms of weight. Really not my issue, I was just lying there.
At the end of it, I racked up a $180 bill for a tattoo that is no bigger than the palm of my hand- and my hands aren't that big. That was my first and last tattoo at New Tribe. Just saying.
