  • So now that I've been a member of Costco for years, I have other things i think they do an awesome job with for cheaper. I started getting my glasses here. While they don't have the selection of most places, they do get some brand name frames sometimes but they sell out fast since they are often closeouts. Twice I have bought 2 sets of eyeglasses here for under $250. Another thing I started buying here is tires. They have quite a selection of tires and I never expected them to have my tires in stock but they did. The service was quick, you pay about the same on the tire as the discount chains around but the extras cost lest here. I priced the whole process at Discount Tire and Costco's beat them by almost $200. Plus you can either make an appointment to get your tires installed or go on a weekday when they are less busy and you can get right in and out within 1 1/2 hours. Good enough to do some shopping or walk across the parking lot to Subway or Chilis to get some grub. And like I said before the other things I still by here are batteries, vitamins, paper products, deli meat (Kirkland brand real turkey breast). Oh and those memory cards for your camera are often cheaper here for a set of 2.
