UPDATE: It's now been just over 5 months since I bought the Jeep and still no plates. The excuse has been that the DMV is dropping the ball on their end. But now I've been told that they've been mailed to Sahara and I should be receiving them. Still no sign of them though, and I still have to call every week or two to check in. Have yet to receive a call from anyone there to update me...it's always me having to call them.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Bought a $48k Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon edition TWO MONTHS AGO, and they still haven't sent me the registration/plates. Can't get them to stay on top of mailing me new two week temporary registrations so that I can legally drive it in the meantime. I call them at least once a week and it's always "we're working on it"...and then I have to call them again to check in. They have yet to call me even once in the two months since I bought the Jeep, and have neglected to return phone calls a couple times. As of now, I have a $48k vehicle (my only vehicle) that I can't legally drive. Oh, and I'm traveling the country in the Jeep for a few months, so yeah...not good. Been pulled over once already, luckily that was prior to my temp tag expiring.
This is extremely frustrating. I was ready to give a glowing 5 star review because the process of buying the Jeep was great, and everyone was very friendly. But if I can't legally drive it, then it's just a depreciating asset that I pay for but can't use.
