  • Let me see you toss it up since this is supposed to be the #1 pizzeria in Arizona. I'm always searching for our next unforgettable dining experience and came here with high expectations of their famous pizzas. Since I arrived during Happy Hour (3-6pm daily), I decided to take advantage of their special pricing on food and cocktails. My hankering directed me towards a refreshing glass of white sangria ($5). The fruity stiff mixture had a great kick of white wine and fresh fruit. One more glass and I would have been dancing on the tables. On another occasion, I ordered the red but will stick to the white because I loved it with the fruits. In total, I've tried four pizzas during Happy Hour to get a sense of their fine crafted pizzas (8" for $7.50). In order of my preference: Funghi - roasted mushrooms, goat cheese, truffle oil, chive Pesto - roasted tomato, house made mozzarella, basil pesto, pine nuts Puttanesca - calamari, shrimp, capers, spicy tomato sauce, olives, fennel, Calabrian chile Vine Ripe Margherita - fresh vine ripe tomato, house made mozzarella, basil, olive oil If you love mushrooms, you must bookmark this place immediately. They were extremely generous with the toppings and the earthy texture made each bite filled with funghi happiness. I opted for light goat cheese because I'm lactose challenged and watching my calories. Try the Pesto if you love basil because you'll enjoy the saltiness of the green sauce in each bite. They serve it with cherry tomatoes compared to sliced red tomatoes. The Puttanesca was also a great choice for those wanting a little more substance and protein. I especially loved the spicy tomato sauce as it added more depth to the dough and toppings. Finally, the traditional Margherita showcased their homemade mozzarella all put together in each slice. The tomato slices are more of the full sized compared to the ones served on the Pesto. Again, I would have liked it more but too much cheese doesn't make me a happy gal. Overall, all these pizzas exceeded our expectations because the dough had a chew while not being too tough. Our initial visit, we thought the dough was softer compared to our subsequent experience and missed that taste and texture. Add more carbs to your meal and order the tiramisu ($8)! For any coffee and chocolate lover, this dish will seal your meal. I loved the richness of the espresso soaked ladyfingers upon layer and layer. The sprinkled toffee bites around the dessert made this dish 5 star worthy. Inside, the dark wooden dining area has booth and table seating and the outside dining is covered from the sun. Towards the back is a full bar complete with high tables and tvs. This is definitely a great place for a date, or catching up with friends. The parking lot fills up quickly in the back. Service here was attentive and not too intrusive as we like. Is it our favorite? TBD! Play on, play on...
