MX Came out to install some panic bars on our commercial storefront. When finished, we realized that one of the two locking bars was very crooked. It was so off of level that visually it could be seen from any angle at any distance in the office. We had to provide a level so the guy could correct it. We were also disappointed to find the door mangled and open to the elements. Drywall screws were used to fasten the mechanism that catches the strike. *Should have been machine screws. So the strike has been coming loose, and the panic bars aren't locking as they are designed. We had them out 3 times already to fix it, and it has been less than 6 months. They said the work is out of their warranty (state requires a 1 year minimum for warranty repairs) even though they've been working on it since they put it in.
If this wasn't enough, each time the guy finished, we had to remind him to clean up, and provide a broom and dust pan.
What kind of lock guy doesn't carry a little vacuum?
