  • After months of anticipation, Golden Cow finally opened up! This is one of the few ice cream joints in South End so it's a great addition to this area. They have a variety of different flavors, about 10 rotating daily and weekly. Today the most unique flavors they had were lavender honey and cinnamon oatmeal cookie. The staff let me try the lavender ice cream before ordering. It was OK, but very unique. The lavender tastes just like lavender, but all I could think of was a bar of soap haha! It even had lavender chunks within the ice cream. My husband got the oatmeal cookie and it was delicious. I got the pistachio and it was bomb. Loaded with lots of nuts and very refreshing. My husband also got a scoop of the berry cobbler. It was good, but not as good as our other two selections. The reason why I didn't give this place five stars is because the ice cream wasn't as creamy as I thought it would be. The berry cobbler had chunks of ice in it. However, I will return because a lot of their rotating flavors sound delicious! Just follow them on Instagram and you'll know what I'm taking about ;-)
