I really enjoyed Vic & Anthony's. This was actually my first time walking through the Golden Nugget after the renovations and it was great to have had a dose of Fremont after spending so much time in the past few years on the Strip. Alas I digress!!
Okay... so, you come to Vic & Anthony's for the fine dining, great steaks and dark atmosphere that really gives it that nice touch of "Oooh, fancy-smancy!"
V&A delivers on all fronts, walking in across the selection of cuts and lobster aquarium, through the dark corridors and to a nicely spaced dining area you really get a sense that you are in for a treat.
The service is wonderful, our server was very accommodating and attentive. Our food came out fast and drinks were consistently filled to the brim. Absolutely NO complaints here, I would say the service is some of the best I've received in all of Vegas. FANTASTIC!
The meat (the important part right?) is great but not pinnacle of all steak houses in my opinion. I ordered the rib eye ($55) and had a taste of the bone in cut that clocked in at about $69 dollars that night for a 21oz cut (Market Price). I enjoyed the marbled taste of both ribeye but the flavoring was a bit peppery in some areas as the seasoning did not appear to have been spread across the entire cut as well as I had hoped. I had a chance to sample the filet mignon as well and that was great, but again not something that I immediately fell in love with. Overall a very fine experience and I will definitely be back, however when it comes to my FAVORITE steakhouses I'd have to still say Ruth's Chris and Craftsteak are still my favorites.
Definitely worth the try for EVERYTHING as an overall package. Thank you Vic & Anthony's :)
