Saw Rod in concert Nov. 6, 2013 at Caesar's Palace. We had really good seats - I have to say for the $100 spent per seat, we were really happy. Rod gives a good concert, and starts on time. He said right off the bat that it would be 1.5 hours. BUT it's not ROD singing the whole time. While he's changing clothes - his daughter, Ruby, sings a song. I did NOT pay to hear his daughter sing. I personally didn't think she was anything to rave about. AND his back-up singers sing a song. Personally, I would have preferred he stayed in the same clothes the whole time and forget about anyone else taking up the time. With those 2 other songs, Rod sang for only about an hour. Let me just say if I'd have paid more for my ticket, I would have been really disappointed. He took a walk through the audience (Orchestra lower level) for one song, so that was drug out a bit. He also kicks autographed soccer balls out to the audience during another song. There was a moment when Rod had to tell us to "talk amongst ourselves" while he and the band figured out what the hell they were doing - not sure if they didn't rehearse enough or what. Overall it was an enjoyable concert - just not long enough. I think they should DEFINITELY ditch the daughter's song and the solo by the back-up singers. I would go see him again, though - I love him and his music!
