| - We were in Pittsburgh for Baseball at PNC Park and chose this hotel due to its location. It is located about 10-miles from downtown and there are several routes to take depending on traffic and construction. The Interstate and Fort Pitt Tunnel is most always crowded especially during the work week and rush hour. There are a couple of routes through McKees Rocks that takes you through some less than desirable parts of town and construction on Carson Street makes traffic a nightmare at certain times. But there is nothing the hotel can do about all that. We made our reservations through the Choice Website so check-in was quick. Most Choice Properties recognize me a Choice Gold Member but this hotel failed to do so. Our room was spacious, very clean and well made. Even though we were directly across from the elevator we heard very little noise. The wireless internet was strong and worked good throughout our stay. The lobby and Breakfast area at this property are very, very small. I do mean very small so you will either have to wait for space in the breakfast area, or elbow your way around and take food back to your room. Of course their is a third option, which is the one we chose most mornings, to forget breakfast and grab something at the nearby "Get-Go." The Breakfast attendant was very efficient and kept the area well stocked and clean throughout the advertised time. Breakfast featured the usual cereal, eggs and a meat, fruit and pastries, along with coffee, juice and milk. The parking lot also appeared to be a little small but during our three night stay we never struggled to find a space, so evidently it is larger than what I was able to see. The staff is very friendly and professional; always speaking to guests when they are coming or going. The housekeeping staff was more than willing to work around our irregular schedule. One tip if you are coming from Interstate 79, the Hotel is on the left. You will not be permitted to make a left turn and will have to continue on to the nearby Primanti Brothers to make a U-Turn and come back to the Hotel. Steubensville Pike is a Very Busy Road so DO NOT even think about making a U-Turn near the hotel. Exiting the Hotel you will only be permitted to make a Right turn. All and all this hotel was very clean, affordable and the staff very accommodating. We will consider this hotel again when in the Pittsburgh Area.
