I find it rather strange that I've passed this place about a million times but have never tried it.
As of my new year resolution, it's time to end old ways and start off fresh! And that means fresh pho!
At first glance at their menu, their pho a little bit more pricier than most places but the broth seemed to have a little more flavor than other noodle bars that I've previously had before. It's also a little bit more salty for my own tastes, but comes with plenty of meat to fill you up.
I also got to sample their cooked ika (squid) with spicy mayo sauce. It's not bad and has a decently charred crust layer to chewy squid ratio on it. While glancing their appetizer menu, the prices can add up pretty quickly but I'm sure they're a decent discount on their happy hour times. Call me cheap but I just felt for a pho place though, most of the items seemed a little more outside my casual dining-post college grad-hard not life-price range.
The interior is clean and comfortable, but service was slightly slow. Maybe I just came at a bad time? I wouldn't mind stopping by again one day if I'm close by and too lazy to drive elsewhere, but it didn't really seem much to me to be a stand out from the crowd kinda place tbh.
District one felt more like a district three star out of five. But maybe I can try it again later on and have a change of heart?
