| - Came here during the day. Was a bit disappointed.
The food is not great, though moderately priced.
Also, I'm not sure why it's a sit down place. Their credit card minimum is also $10, and that seems inconveniently high to me for a place that serves single serve drinks and ice creams for under $6. And do you tip, since you must be given a menu and have your order taken if you wish to sit in, and then wait for your check to be delivered, and have to pay cash for your one drink. It's awkward not to, though there's not always the need for attentive service if you just want to stop by for a drink for a little bit.
Would be okay, but service isn't quick and the wait between getting menu, waiting to order, waiting for food, waiting for check, needing to go get cash because the minimum wasn't apparent, waiting for him to come back after I got cash, waiting for change.... Too much time wasted in between than if we could've just decided and paid up front in one fell swoop, and simply eaten and left when we wanted. A bit annoying and would deter me from going more often for a quick unplanned stop.
The snow tastes strange, as if it's less fluffy than freshly made snow, a bit more powdery artificial taste in my mouth. However, for shaved snow to even exist in Pittsburgh... it's good enough I suppose.
I can see this place as a nice place to hang out at night with friends, since the environment is pretty relaxed for groups to come and grab some drinks and snack on some cheap plates - except they're only open until 10:30 at the latest. Too bad, since that seems to me like it would be a huge draw for customers.
