We were spending one night in Las Vegas on the way home from a trip through the Utah National Parks. Eight days on the road in tourist towns eating in he kind of restaurants found their left us craving a good meal. We chose Sergio's due to its Yelp ratings but since ratings on Italian restaurants can be deceiving bases on local perceptions of what is good (I.e. Local Georgians' view vs. my NY upbringing) you never know.
Sergio's exceeded my expectation. Reminded me of many of the high quality local Italian places I enjoyed when living in the Northeast. The wait staff was friendly and knowlegable. Great wines by the glass. My wife had Chicken Parmesan (all she ever orders in Italian Restaurants - makes her an expert). She said it was outstanding. I had Veal Francaise, recommended by our waiter, which was some of the best I've ever had.
Sergio's was a great find. If your looking for good Italian in Las Vegas pass on all the "name" places in the big hotels and drive a few blocks to Sergio's.
