  • I came here with my bridesmaids this past weekend for them to try on dresses, and the experience was horrible and i left mortified. I'm not going to use names in my review as my goal here is to provide feedback on my experience and deter others from coming to this location. First off I want to mention that I've been to the Davids Bridal in Hamilton and had a WONDERFUL experience, so my opinion on DB hasn't been tarnished entirely, just this store in general. When we came in the check in process was pleasant and easy, but when our consultant came over we had no idea she was meant to be with us, as she didn't even introduce herself or provide any sort of introduction. The only reason I knew who she was is because she had helped me previously (which was a decent experience at that time). She asked a couple of questions and pulled about 4 dresses or so for my girls to try and took us over to a fitting room. I understand that DB is busy on weekends so I wasn't really bothered by that, but we were taken to a fitting room where there weren't any chairs for me to sit on to watch them try on dresses, and I had to ask for a chair. Still, not that bad yet. After our consultant put the dresses in the room, she basically disappeared (I believe she came over once to ask my girls how it was going, but they were fine at the time because I was the one grabbing them dresses) - she seemed more interested in helping the bride she was working with (assuming because of the sale) then asking if she can grab us more dresses. I literally spent the entire appointment running around and grabbing them other dresses to try, my consultant didn't actually seem very attentive until it was time for them to order the dresses. I specifically asked my girls not to get their dresses today as I didn't want to give the commission to someone who grabbed a couple of dresses, then left us alone for an hour. That wasn't even the worst part. When we were leaving I asked my girls if I should make mention of our experience, and they said yes. I went up to the girl at the front to tell her we didn't have the best experience, she was LOVELY and said I should speak to a manager just to improve the experience for the next person. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. Before I could even speak to the manager my consultant immediately came over and began attacking me in front of not only other staff members and my bridal party, but other customers as well. She was demanding to know what she did wrong and when I tried to explain all I got back was "WHO PULLED DRESSES FOR YOU? WHO PULLED DRESSES?" I literally wasn't even able to get my thoughts together and fully explain why I was not satisfied with my experience because she was just repeatedly attacking me. The manager had already come over at that point and was just watching this go down, eventually she asked the consultant to leave. The manager wasn't any more helpful, she basically made me feel as though it was my fault. "I did come around and ask how everything was going" but I wasn't there when she came around cause I was running around pulling dresses for my girls, so I was not able to tell her we weren't satisfied. Thus I assumed that making mention of it upon our departure would suffice, but I guess not. I really did not appreciate how I was treated at this location. I've spent a lot of money at David's Bridal over the last few months (I purchased a dress, a veil, accessories, gifts for my bridesmaids and even a wedding planning book, mug etc) and I was about to spend more money, until I was treated like my feedback and my feelings on my experience didn't matter and I was wrong for feeling the way I did. I will never recommend this location to anyone, they're better off going to another store that cares about the feelings of their customers, like Hamilton. As a bride, this ruined my experience of shopping for bridesmaids dresses, and is something that I will always remember when I look back on this time, thank you Davids Bridal Scarborough for tarnishing this experience for me.
