  • I usually file my own taxes however this year they were a little more complicated so decided to get a second professional opinion. I went here based off of great reviews on Yelp. I signed up for a consolation online where their website said that they would contact me. Approximately one week went by without hearing anything so I decided to call and try to set up my own appointment. I spoke with someone who took down my number and I was told that I would be contacted the next day. Three more days past. This should have been my warning but based off of the reviews I was determined to make it work. I attempted to contact them a third time and finally was able to set up an appointment. I went in for the consolation and explained everything. I was told a quote and they explained what they were going to do. I have an business accounting degree however am not a CPA (why I went to have my taxes looked at by a CPA). The procedure that they were planning to move forward with did not seem right to me. When I questioned it, they agreed that I was indeed right and the way they were originally going to proceed was in fact incorrect. Thank goodness that I caught the mistake and asked questions! After I caught their mistake my quote of payment went up an additional $40! i still decided to move forward since I needed to get this done. I was told to come back in 30 minutes and they would be completely done. I returned an hour later and they were still not done. The original person that met with me came out and told me it would be "three more minutes." I waited approximately another 45 minutes. During that time I could hear all the staff's conversations about their social lives and strong opinions about other clients / customers. When my taxes were done a different person came out to explain it to me. With other people in the lobby, she proceeded to read out all my financial information. Privacy and professionalism did not seem to exist. The prices were reasonable but besides that I would much rather go to a place that is more professional and focused.
