Just what you'd expect. Great experience overall. Was here on a Friday night for dinner. Here are some notable points.
- Our server was very knowledgeable of the entire menu and was prompt with recommendations that seemed genuine instead of just trying to move certain items.
- We sat fairly close to the bar section, and obviously at around 8PM on a Friday it was quite noisy. Nothing insane, but something to note for more sensitive people.
- We ordered the spring roll appetizer. It came very quickly and was nice and hot. Good flavor and great sweet/spicy dipping sauce. Slightly mushy inside.
- One of the bar girls was walking around and handing out samples of Shock Top. I'm not a fan of citrus in my beer, but it was a nice touch.
- My wife ordered the meat pie. Pretty classic pub option. It was almost definitely of the frozen variety. Definitely not made in house. But flavor and texture was good. The gravy was pretty good as well but the sides left something to be desired.
- The burger I had was cooked well and still quite juicy. It also came with a good amount of toppings (bacon, etc.).
- My side Caesar was very fresh and while not life changing, it was certainly very good.
- We had a few drinks as well and found the pace of the meal to be quite ideal. From food order placed to receiving the bill it was right around 1hr. Just how we like it.
All in all this is a fairly standard pub style restaurant and bar. You won't have your socks knocked off but this place will deliver what you expect consistently. If I lived close by I could see this being a regular place for me. Good quality, and good price.
