  • "You can't find a more authentic Italian restaurant in Charlotte" I LOVE Fontanella's. The ambiance is just okay, but their prices are reasonable, the portions are New York huge, and the food is excellent. (Okay, to be fair, I haven't had any of their seafood offerings, but Fontanella's marinara is "spot on" excellent, as is their Chicken and Veal Parmigiana. Same with their Ziti and Meatballs.) You'd be hard pressed to find better Italian comfort food in the Charlotte area, at any price.
