  • Use Someone else!!! C.M.I.'s service technician, Darren, diagnosed the problem and took my evaporator coils to be repaired and left the premises without cleaning the mess that he made on October 1st, 2014. Darren also said that the compressor on the roof is damaged and the air conditioning coils have a leak which caused the hissing sound. C.M.I. also stated that they can replace the compressor and repair the leak all being covered under my American Home Shield Policy. C.M.I further stated that the homeowner will need to pay for the Freon Charge of $300 for 6 pounds of Freon minus $10.00 per pound already applied. We agreed to the decision based on C.M.I.'s professional diagnosis and determination of the connected mechanical failures, as well as their determination that the repairs are covered by our policy because the HVAC service technician, Darren, diagnosed it. We are very unhappy and uncomfortable with the entire service provided. We were not informed for 7 days, after the service company (C.M.I.) took my evaporator coil unit, as to what was going on with my Ac unit, as it is still hot outside to not have an Ac unit working. I completely do not agree with the determination of the cause of damage on my Ac unit given to me over the phone on Oct. 7th, 2014 and we are offended. The manager on the phone, from C.M.I, accused my household, which is my mother and I, of stabbing the Ac unit with a screwdriver, thereby, not covered under normal wear and tear. The Service Technician, Darren, that was at my residence on Oct. 1st, 2014 was very unprofessional, he did not show me anything from the Ac unit problems or take any pictures, and told me, in person, that the leak will be fixed and the compressor replaced under my American Home Shield warranty policy. He also did not clean up after himself after removing the evaporator unit even when I supplied him with a vacuum with an excellent hose attachment and he pretended to use it and left rust and corrosive dirt on my carpet, tile, Ac closet and the air return area, and broken parts rusty, and corrosive that he exposed to the indoor air quality inside my residence, when he took the Ac evaporator unit out and left. He also spoke of marijuana (drugs), and I was offended as my girlfriend is a recovering addict and witnessed and heard everything the service technician said. Letters will be sent to the Arizona Registrar of Contractors as well as, filing a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne, The Arizona Department of Insurance, Yelp, The Better Business Bureau and Channel 3 news, as we feel that we have not been treated correctly and there is obviously a discrepancy in the service company's procedures and that something happened to my evaporator unit when removed and taken from the residence without my knowledge. We do not appreciate such tactics and unprofessional-ism when I let a service company into my residence. The Service Technician, Darren, said my Ac Compressor is damaged and the evaporator coils have a leak, yet he did not show me any of the damage to my unit and said it will be covered under my American Home Shield warranty policy and left the premises with the evaporator coils unit. The manager I spoke with from C.M.I., over the phone on Oct. 7th, 2014 accused my household of causing the issues to my Ac unit. My household and I are very disturbed by the accusations coming from a professional company, as we are honest, religious, trustworthy and hardworking people that contribute to society. On October 9th, 2014 Steve (John), a Manager from C.M.I., arrived at the residence. He was shown the Ac unit closet and he was asked to talk about the issues that have been produced by uninformed personal and undocumented diagnosis of the Ac unit's problems over the past few weeks, before starting the put back of the evaporator coils. He agreed and when conversing with Steve (John), he proceeded to give a lot of opinion with no factual support, as to what the service technician, Darren, had done on October 1st, 2014. As I presented factual knowledge, first person accounts, evidence and questions on his opinions that are based on Darren's diagnosis, Steve (John) got angry and unreasonable. Steve (John) was surprised that he was unaware that part of Darren's diagnosis, was that the Ac compressor needs to be replaced, when I informed him on October 9th, 2014. When he left, Steve (John) also called American Home Shield and told them false information. Steve (John) was very unprofessional, and opinionated without any facts or evidence to back up his professional opinion. I could go on and on but not enough room on here.
