"Cash-only" usually means I end up paying a $1.75 ATM-fee, but I'm occasionally willing to make that concession. I theoretically understand the the theory behind it ... keeping the money local. As far as I can tell, Mother Fool's keeps it local. Their coffee is from Colectivo and their baked goods are from around the corner (I can recommend the apple pastry). It's a strange mix of people who visit this place. It looks like some of them are old townies and others are really cool hipsters. At times I felt like this place was too cool for me, but I still appreciate the local artists on the wall, and appreciate at least the concept that they have live music and open-mic nights. I say, "Keep it up!"
