Haute classics is probably your best bet for consigning luxury goods in Toronto the experience I had with both the staff and the owners of the store have been wonderful.
I haven't yet visited the new location but the previous location was very clean organized and had an amazing array of high end bags and merchandise from the likes of Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Celine all the heavy hitters.
My item that I consigned did not sell unfortunately but that had nothing to do with the great service at Haute Classics they made sure to show my item in a prime spot in-store and it was also featured in local media publications and available to purchase online. I'm sure it was my fault entirely as I think I overpriced the item (yes I'm a $greedy$ girl)
Consigning is fairly easy, an appointment is of course necessary for Haute Classics to explain the consignment process (I was helped by one of the owners, Stella and she was great!) and basically the item that you want to consign will be verified for authenticity and appraised for it's marketable value. After about three days to a week, once the item is authenticated you will be asked to either accept their valuation of your item or you can name a price that you believe is fair. Items are consigned for a three month period if you decide to withdraw your item earlier than that you will be charged a fee but I do believe most places practice the same policy.
Depending on the price of the item there are different percentage ratios of payout, the higher priced the item is, the larger percentage you will receive but that is discussed upon your agreement to consign items at the store and I will mention their payout ratio is actually quite competitive compared to some of the other luxury consignment stores in Toronto.
All-in-all I would confidently recommend Haute Classics as a great destination both for shopping and consigning your high-end luxury goods.
