rev:text	Cajun food is one of my favorites, and I've had some great meals in New Orleans and on the East Coast. Unfortunately, Lola's food was just OK. The big problem was that everything I had, except for dessert, was bland. Why would a Cajun restaurant be hesitant to season its food? I got the red beans and rice. It tasted fresh, but it was a bit too thick and had too much of a tomato flavor. What happened to the meat broth taste? They put one small slice of sausage on top of the rice and I think I detected a few tiny pieces of meat in it. The coleslaw that came with the beans was also bland although it had good ingredients in it. The crab cake also was not seasoned well and more on the soft side. I like some crisp to my crab cakes. Another thing that bothered me was the place was too small, so it felt as if the staff was right next to you while you were eating. They were constantly walking up and down, sometimes colliding with each other, right next to you. Usually in restaurants this is not so noticeable. I felt as if I had no privacy to eat my food since they seemed to always be walking right next to me and sometimes glancing at my table. They need to improve this because it's hard to fully relax and enjoy a meal there. On a positive note, the service was good. My waitress was friendly and attentive. Lastly, the bread pudding, which I came there for, was delicious. It was my first time to have bread pudding so it was a great way to be introduced to it. If you get it, be sure to get the Chantilly cream with it on the side!
