| - I leased a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander from Biondi, brand new. In 2009, with just over 30,000 miles on it, the car CAUGHT FIRE. Driving down the street, smoke started coming out of the vents. I got out of the car, and within two minutes, the entire car was engulfed in flames. Never having been through something like this before, I opted to take the car back to Biondi, as they were the dealership who sold it to me and serviced it. When we arrived at the dealership, they said it was okay for us to go home. I was perplexed, as the agreement with a lease is that you make a payment and they provide a vehicle. Considering mine was burnt to a crisp, I anticipated that Biondi would provide me with another car, if nothing more, a loaner. This was not the case, though. I was furious and asked to speak with the manager. When he walked into his office and he told us that I need to take it up with my insurance company. I told him I need a car and that I'd have no way to get to and from work. For as long as I live I will never forget, nor forgive what he said next. He leaned back in his chair with his hands behind his head, and a stupid grin on his face he said "that's not my problem."
My insurance company totaled the vehicle. But before they did, they hired a forensic fire expert to inspect the car. It was determined that the cause of the fire was a faulty wire harness underneath the driver's seat. That wire harness had been recalled, and I had the recall addressed AT BIONDI! So not only are they bad human beings, but they hire incompetent technicians to work on their cars. In the end, there was no recourse for me. Biondi refused to assist me in any way, shape or form, and Mitsubishi would not either. Not a single apology, not an ounce of empathy, just smirks and chuckles at my misfortune.
Take advice from my nightmare: never....ever....ever....under any circumstances buy a car from Biondi. What a shameful, disgraceful company.
