Tsujiri is a Japanese chain where they have locations all around the world. They are famous for their matcha items as they use the highest quality matcha from Uji in Kyoto. I've been to Tsujiri (both the downtown location and this location) plenty of times for their matcha soft serve and to purchase their desserts, but this review will be focused on the 2nd floor food items available for dine in.
The 2nd floor is completely dedicated as a dine in restaurant where you can eat matcha soba noodles, order matcha tea, and even have afternoon tea. We dropped by on a Sunday at around 11:45am to have lunch and the place was empty to our delight. We were afraid that the place would be busy but there was only another table that was seated when we arrived. We both ordered items from menu which was a tough decision (everything looked delicious!). I had the tonkotsu soy milk tsuke cha soba which was a dipping ramen. I also ordered an o-matcha. The tsuke cha soba was quite delicious! The creaminess of the soy milk worked perfectly well with the matcha soba noodles and coated each strand of noodle with strong flavours once it was dipped. The pork in the broth was also great as well as the other ingredients. The o-matcha drink reminded me of my recent travels to Kyoto. For dessert we both shared an o-matcha platter which consisted of one scoop of matcha ice cream, one scoop of hojicha ice cream, mochi/matcha jellies, matcha cake, and red bean. The dessert was easily shareable between 2 people and it was the perfect ending to lunch.
Overall, definitely recommend dining at Tsujiri for their cooked foods. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return for more!
