  • I am not one that normally does reviews online for organizations. I often feel that you either can't believe the good ones because they are being written by the company/organization or you can believe the poor ones because they are just from disgruntled customers that nothing would make them happy. I can say that this is neither. I am a true customer that recently took our car into Service King to have some limited body work done to it. After obtaining a couple of estimates from other collision repair shops in the Scottsdale Airpark area, we decided to try one more and stopped into Service King. We immediately noticed that the facilities were in general terms better maintained and inviting. We were greeted by the front desk staff who assigned us to a collision repair representative. They met with us and examined our car. It had some limited damage to the front bumper that we inflicted on our own trying to maneuver into a parking spot that had the support for the car port on the driver's side. We were planning on paying for the work "out of pocket" with no insurance claim. The service writer examined the damage and took pictures of it. This was the first indication that things were different here. The other two locations just came out, and did a short physical examination and then did the write up. As things proceeded, the service agent at Service King did the write up and despite the fact that we were not doing this through and insurance claim, they gave us the discount for the work based of our insurance provider if we were to have made a claim through them. Now I can't verify that the actual amount for the work was discounted off of what it would be without the discount, but it was just nice to see that this was offered to us and I am taking at face value that they charged us based on the offer. We were told that the car would take about a week to repair. We were very pleased when we received the car back after only 3 days in their shop. This is something that looking at other repair service reviews seemed to be a bone of contention for many of the poor reviews. The car was promised in a week and after 3 weeks it was still being addressed. No problems here. We did not need to rent a car nor be inconvenience on having only one car for an extended period of time. We picked up our car and it looked great. Here is where it becomes exceptional. Our other car had recently been purchased and someone had put about an 8-inch scratch in the driver's side door. I took it to the local dealer at which we purchased it to see if it could be "buffed out". I was told that the entire door would need to be repainted. It was not a deep scratch but they said the entire door would need repainting to the tune of $835.00. So I decided when we picked up our other car to have the service agent at Service King take a look. He said to bring it in on another day and they may be able to repair it to a more non noticeable level. I did, they did, and they did not charge me a dime to have it done. I was saved $830 bucks! Now you can choose to believe this review or not, but I can tell you that after feeling that there is a lack of customer service that has plagued our society for a while, my faith was renewed by the service and actions of this organization and the employee's that were involved. I will take all of our body repair work to Service King in the future. I just hope that it is not very often (if you catch my meaning)!
