  • I visit Las Vegas once a year, but my first time at Planet Hollywood and my most unpleasant experience at a Las Vegas hotel. In summary: 1) Lots of drunk people in this hotel. Both nights of our stay, we got woken up in the middle of the night by drunk people multiple times. 2) We had an issue. Security never showed up after waiting 1+ hours. 3) The manager is completely careless of anything that occurs, and has absolutely no sense of customer service. More details: (1) Since it's a lower cost hotel on the strip, it's more young people. Thus, more drunk people. Thus, more loudness in the middle of the night in the hallway after ppl going and coming from the bars/nightclubs. Our room was the first room next to the elevator. Friday night, we went to bed at 12am, but got woken up on 4 different occasions by crazy loud obnoxious drunk people walking down the hall. At some point, there was an idiot yelling and knocking on all the doors, "stop sleeping, you're in Vegas". Which is usually true, but we were on a business trip. Thursday night, it was not as bad, but we were still woken up a couple times. If you stay at this hotel, make 100% sure that you are at the end of the hall because the closer to the elevator, the more drunk ppl waking you up. Other hotels are not as bad. (2) Majority of the hotels have Self Parking near the casino. Planet Hollywood has only one Self Parking at the end of the Miracle shopping center. Thus, if you prefer to self-park, it's a 15 minute walk from the garage to the casino. (3) Finally, most importantly, the management and security do not care one bit about providing good service. The front desk manager should not be a manager. I have no clue how he got to that position. We were out and my father didn't have the key. He went to the front desk for assistance. They told my father, the security will let you into the room if you can find an item in your room proving you stay there. They told my father (65yo) to wait in front of the room. He waited for 15 minutes. No security. He went to the front desk 3 more times and waited a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes, security never showed. I asked for the front desk manager when checking out because I really felt that we should not pay for the Friday night since they made my 65yo father go in circles and never ended up helping him, then to be woken up repeatedly, or at least we shouldn't pay the resort fee for that night. He said we don't give discounts, and basically said here is your bill and get out. His tone of voice and manner was sooo rude. I've never seen anything like it. I was pretty shocked at his attitude.
