| - I came here to try the entrees for the first time, and I am happily surprised how much I enjoyed them. The first time I came here, I wasn't blown away, but I wasn't disappointed either; I just didn't have much to say. Coming here for father's day weekend, my family was impressed and I was proud to have taken them to a restaurant they enjoyed so much.
My father loved how relaxed the environment was. We sat on the couches and sipped wine and munched on truffle fries and bruschetta while watching golf on the TV. The service was wonderful, and our server checked on us frequently and refilled our waters. Our favorite bruschetta was the beef tenderloin (we substituted the choice cheese with goat cheese - YUM!). Truffle fries? A-D-D-I-C-T-I-V-E!! We had to ask our server to box them up because we just could not stop eating.
My father ordered the pork belly, my mother: the scallops, and my boyfriend: the duck confit spring rolls. Pork belly: absolutely amazing. Pork fell apart and melted in your mouth, and the bread pairing was perfect. Scallops: I can honestly say I've had better for cheaper. It was tasty, but I don't think I can say it was worth the $27. Spring rolls: I did not enjoy one bit, but my boyfriend loved them. I personally thought they tasted a bit fishy, and my boyfriend claimed he would come back for them. In the end, we all shared the peach cobbler with ice cream on the side. Cobbler without the ice cream was pretty dry, but very delicious overall.
Overall, a very successful dinner. I am willing to come back. A little pricey, but worth it.
