My wife had a session with a lactation consultant (different organization) and the nurse that provided this service mentioned that it looked like she had a tongue tie. The next step was for us to see a Dr for an actual diagnosis. We arrived prior to appointment time and filled out the typical stack of paperwork. Lobby isn't divided so my newborn got to hang out with all the coughing & sneezing kids. This is extra exciting as she hasn't had her shots yet. Next we are treated to the extended version of a video that explains everything that was explained to us by the lactation consultant that recommended this whole thing. We had a consultation by a nurse practitioner that asked all of the same questions that we answered in the paperwork. We came to have a consultation from a doctor, as recommended by the lactation consultant. By then our 2 month old had enough and was screaming on he outside (while I was screaming in the inside) and the 10 minute consultation was over & we don't feel a whole lot more advised.
