  • I will start by saying this was the best golf experience I have ever had. If you have a car and are bringing your own clubs, you can valet park up front and your clubs will be delivered to the golf course before you can walk back and get checked in. Once checked in, I had a look around the pro shop for a golf shirt. The last thing I need is another golf shirt, but decided to make an exception to have one from the Wynn. I wasn't all that impressed with the selection, and thought the styles were a bit dated, but ended up buying one anyhow. Since I had time to kill, I walked around the casino for a bit and came across a gift shop that had Wynn Nike Golf shirts that were more my style (and much cheaper), but since I had already bought one in the pro shop, I was out of luck. Once I was ready to check in for my round, I was taken to a reception area that had coffee, fresh fruit and a full locker room. I was taken to my cart that was stocked with Gatorade and water. I met my caddie, Moses, who led my to the driving range and putting green. Let me say right here, Moses is a fantastic caddie. I would suggest to anyone going to play at the Wynn, they ask for him by name when making your reservation. Moses tracked errant shots, kept my clubs cleaned and had great advice reading the greens. Once I was warmed up, Moses informed me my two playing partners would be another 20 minutes, since they just flew in from St Louis, so I was invited to hit balls on the private par 3 hole located behind the driving range. At the end of the round, Moses personally took my clubs to valet. Our weather here in Las Vegas the preceding two weeks has been in excess of 105 degrees. Even so the course was in great shape. You could see burned areas, however, this did not affect my play or enjoyment of my round. The greens were very nice and ran true. The views of the strip are first rate. I kept thinking to myself "I can't believe this golf course is located here." One thing I will say about the course, it is very long. I played middle tees and the par 3's were 150 - 202 yards. All of the par 4's were over 400 yards, with some close to 500 yards. I had to remind myself I wasn't here to shoot a course record, but rather take in the exceptional beauty of this golf course. All of the holes could be a signature hole, but #18 really stands out. Your tee shoot on this par 4 plays to the finishing green sitting below a dining area with a spectacular waterfall. One cool thing about this waterfall is the cart path takes you into a tunnel that is behind the waterfall, so you can look back at the green and Wynn property through the falling water. I am really happy to have played this course, and would do it again.
