| - Lots of samples to view in the showroom and unlike home depot / Lowes, they actually have the stuff in stock rather than needing to have it ordered / shipped.
The quality of the vinyl planks seems superior to home Depot or Lowe's, but probably a step down from the premier flooring stores. But you're also getting it for, on average, half the price. It's pretty much all made in China.
So far so good right? When we installed some of their vinyl planks ourselves, we were pleased. Then we made the mistake of ordering installation through LL. They contract it out to a 3rd party, of which, of course, you have no say in choosing who does it. The company that came out rushed through a 900 sq ft basement in a single day, and it showed. Several planks not pushed / locked together, haphazard job with a drain cutout, permanent marker marks on a couple planks, and the quarter round wasn't pushed flush with the floor. All these issues were compounded by the fact that none of the installers spoke English (aside from the "foreman" who was only there for the first couple hours and then left).
Their warranty process has been a nightmare to get these issues resolved. The flaws have still not been fixed and it's now been over a month. We also paid for an installation service that was not performed. Still no refund.
