  • To start I have visited Prestige on multiple occasions, especially for their boarding since it is such a great price. I'd like to say everyone I've encountered has been nice but the lack of actual job functionality is where I'm giving 2 stars. Like I mentioned I have boarded my dog here at least 3 times. The last 2 times I have requested for his nails to be trimmed during his visit. The last time in, once I got home I noticed that his nails still looked the same although they charged me for the service. I just let it go since I wasn't sure but mentally noted it for next time. Upon arriving today to get him, mind you I was told I could get him at 7:30 when they open. (I work and needed to get him home before 8am) I was 2 mins early (I checked the clock while walking in) When getting inside the receptionist expressed she could not release him since there wasn't a technician in yet and she wasn't qualified to do it. That honestly irritated me right off the bat because I now knew I was going to be late for work. I told her I would wait a couple mins since I was "early". While standing there, I asked if I was to come back after I got off work and she expressed I would be charged another day? I just let it go. The tech got there a moment later and got him right away. Due to prior experience I checked his nails while there and once again they were not trimmed. BUT were going to charge me for yet the service they did not perform. I asked if they had been done and the receptionist replied I have it on there they did. (the nails were the same length, I checked before bringing him) But she went to grab the tech to make sure. She came up with nail trimmers and proceeded to clip his nails in the lobby (now setting me back another 10 mins) I did appreciate her kindness and actually taking care of my request, but why wasn't it done while he was boarded and now recreating an even bigger inconvenience? The tech let me know she wasn't there Friday when I dropped him off so I am assuming she took care of it because she knew they were not done. Please note she was super nice and comped the nail trim which I truly appreciated. I didn't even have to ask. Another thing that really bothered me was once leaving my dog was dragging me to use the rest room. He NEVER GOES POOP RIGHT AWAY UNLESS HE'S BEEN HOLDING IT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. He didn't even pee just straight into pooping. So that let me know he hasn't been out for most likely over 12 hours. I worked 2 jobs for a little while so I know when he has had a long day. When getting him home he pooped and peed again! I know they are closed Sunday's but what are the practices taking place? How many times is someone coming to visit and take care of them. This just didn't set well with me. I would recommend possible different flooring as well, my dog is old and has a hard time walking on tile and it's sad vets or animal places don't consider the old folks with bad hips. Regardless if its easier to clean. Don't discriminate! Old dogs matter too... But anyway, I will take him somewhere else although it may cost me more money in the future I will at least know he's being taken care of. Maybe I'm an unlucky visitor but wanted to share my experiences.
