Miller's is south of the airport and the strip. Not very far from what will be the new football stadium. The bar is very large and spacious. It has a comfortable atmosphere, almost like the country style taverns I used to frequent in the south.
Our new friend Joey, help us find a table for 6 - outside - where we could also watch Golden Knights hockey on the telly. After 4 rounds we decide to dive into the appetizers. I definitely went straight to the calamari because the Detroit red wings were playing (sorry, bad hockey joke. Fans throw octopi on the ice in Detroit). I would like to try it without breading, someday, but haven't found it yet. This was too heavy and they use a parmesan cheese and sweet Thai chili topping that I didn't care for, but I finished it and moved on to finish my wife's spinach dip and chips. Good not great. Not much to write about. We split a plate of Zingers Flatbread which were super delish! I think it was the bleu cheese, but it's a must try.
We finished off with delectable dessert called Capt Jack's Buried Treasure (and it is).
This thing is a homemade ice cream cake combined with an Oreo cookie crust. Add a generous amount of chocolate fudge and caramel all with a Heath Bar crunch. To quote Oliver "I'd like some more."
All in all a great night with great friends and better than average fare. The Knights lost but we won. Beautiful start to a fun weekend. Let healing begin. #VegasStrong.
