  • Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I hate that trick of naming your company with the letter A so that you appear first in the phone book. I think there a few rare exceptions where this denotes a quality business. I had used this company initially due a referral from a family friend and was very happy, unfortunately my second time booking them was a headache. I had arranged for my move a week and a half in advance at 9 am on Saturday, when they called to confirm my reservation they told me my move was at 2 pm. I pointed out that this was not the time I had booked, but went along with it. That next day I received a call from the mover saying they would not be able to complete my move that day as the person they booked in my spot (of 9 am) had not packed anything and was moving a 4 bedroom house, therefore canceling my move. Upset, I called the company and they scheduled me the following day at 9 am. Relieved I could still complete my move that weekend, I was momentarily pacified. On Sunday the movers were supposed to arrive at 9 am, they did not show up till 11 am. They then proceeded to move as slowly as possible, unlike the two movers who had helped me the first time and moved like speed racer. Then when I was upset at the end of the move I was hesitant to let them process my credit card information, feeling after all these errors I deserved some kind of compensation, such as not having to pay the 1 hour travel fee. The mover said if I called the office they would listen and that they give refunds back all the time. I called Monday, left a message, no one returned my call. I called Tuesday spoke to someone said she would talk to the owner that evening and call me back that day or the next morning. No returned call. I called again and was told the office was not open even though they were picking up the phone and that I will have to call back Monday. When I did call back on Monday I was treated with such hostility and evasive behaviour, I ended up slamming the phone. Unprofessional. Deceptive. Use at your own risk.
