  • Fucking buttholes!! Now that that's off my chest... Me, my wife, 6 year old, 3 year old and 6 month old came in on October 4th at around 1030/1100 to get caffeinated, juiced and hang out. I'm bummed the fuck out and maybe a Yelp confession will help me work through this... I get a latte, my wife gets a decaf cappacinco and the decaf tastes burnt, like ass actually, worse than ass, totally not drinkable. My wife takes a drink, adds sugars, takes another drink and has me taste this monstrosity because it was so bad, she had to share the experience. I took a taste, ass coffee was the verdict. She's nursing the baby and I say "hey, I'll run down and ask if we can get u a single shot latte instead because mine tasted fine enough. I tell the lady behind the counter the situation, she offers to give me a replacement for half off and I ask out of mere curiosity on why we would have to pay for another coffee? She says the coffee was half way drunk but she failed to recognize how the three sips went down and how the foam settles. She says she's not in the business of giving away free coffee and me, being rather stunned that something so simple has become such a fucking big thing, tell her not to worry about it. I return upstairs to share the disappointing news and we gather the wee ones and head out to get my wife a coffee. Frankly, paying for a shitty coffee (not drunk) and then for another at half off just feels like bullshit, plus there's the whole principal of the situation that outweighs the cost. As I take the kids out, my wife tries to clarify the "ordeal" with her and she gives her the cup half empty line and not in the business of giving away free coffee line and my wife sticks to the truth that only 3 sips were actually taken and the coffee Buddah lady says, I'm not saying your lying but I know what I saw and then my wife who dreads any form of confrontation whatsoever, tells her that it's too bad because we live in the area and the place is great to hangout and the kids seem to like it and this is the best part, the coffee lady says, ohh, I hope you'll come back? Ha ha! Really? She couldn't of been fucking serious! I've frequented many coffee shops and have never witnessed a refusal to correct the situation. I'm not going to pull the customers always right card because that's bullshit, the customer can be an asshole at times but I am confident that we were as kind and diplomatic as possible. Hell, I even told her that my coffee was perfect (which it wasn't...fair at best) to ease the news that the other tasted horrible. Oh yeah, the coffee lady actually said, that's just the way decaf tastes and my wife asked her that they use commonplace coffee and then shared with her that we go to commonplace coffee on Forbes a lot and no, that's just not the way decaf tastes. Those folks do a bang up job on decaf, by the way. I know decaf can be a challenge but this review isn't about the quality of the drink, it's about the quality of service and a failure to remedy a situation that shouldn't of been a situation at all. I'm not going to be all knee jerk fuck this place, don't go there because so many factors are at play but I do hope the owners, staff, whoever calls the shots (get it? Shots) works on customer relations. Honestly, me, my wife and three children, 6 and under were not trying to get over on you....we just wanted what we paid for. Also, it's important to note that the lady wasn't rude at all and may have just been following orders from up the chain (or maybe not) but I felt it was important to add that the service was fine...
