I adore Fran's. It's super-crowded sometimes, and service gets a little slow, but when they bring you that pot of beer, bacon and hot pepper soaked mussels, all is forgiven. I've only been twice, but because they have a mix of smallish plates I've tried quite a few items. Always coming back to the mussels, though, I have to admit. Anyway -- the deviled egg of the day was a hit one time and a miss the second time. But a cool concept anyway. Seared tuna was tasty, as were roasted tomatoes and "shrimp two ways". The wine list is good and the "redneck manhattan" is outstanding.
