| - This review is mostly negative due to the inconsistent and extremely slow responses from the medical staff. I relocated here from Chicago and this clinic was recommended by a neighbor. I scheduled an appointment with Shar Watkins, the practice's sole NP. At my first visit, she took time with me to complete a thorough exam, health history and to discuss my concerns. She gave me a thorough plan to follow and was very kind and compassionate.
The phlebotomy team at the Randolph office were decent, but it took them several sticks to get a useable vein. I finally asked for a nurse as I was verging on passing out.
My biggest complaint about the practice is the days, if not weeks, it takes to get results from the labs... Simple bloodwork/blood draws take up to 1-2 weeks? I've never had labwork take more than 2 days, at MOST. An ultrasound result required that I call back almost DAILY after 2 weeks of waiting. Nevermind the fact that I received the bill in the mail prior to the test result.
Needless to say, Shar is wonderful, and I wish I could overlook the fragmented communication because she is awesome. However, I think most patients value their time and expect timely communication from healthcare providers.
Whenever I have gone for a blood draw, despite making an appointment, I end up waiting 15 or 20 minutes. 30-45 for seeing my provider. I understand that providers are busy or backed up, but please communicate with your patients, and give us options if we want to wait or reschedule.
So, no thanks, Mintview. I have already made plans to change practices.
