  • I guess I need to rate them one star since you can't leave it blank with no stars. My daughter came here for the first time. I walked in yesterday to schedule the appointment and asked about the $49 New Patient special for xrays, diagnostic exam and cleaning, I was told it was no problem. My daughter had cleaning done with her dentist in Los Angeles 6 months ago, so it wasn't long ago that she already had xrays, exam, and cleaning. However, coming here at Canyon Pointe Dental Group, the dentist tried to charge me for deep cleaning and anesthetic saying she had periodontal disease!! When I told the front receptionist that my daughter was texting me from the back about what they were about to do. I was then told I would be given the total cost for everything!! (I have never been to a DENTAL office where the dentist doesn't come out to speak with the parent about the exam and treatment!! ) I told them my daughter already had cleaning 6 months ago and just had her braces removed so if she had beginning of periodontal disease, I would have already been told. The receptionist then told me that all dentists see things differently in patients!! Not knowing that I myself was once also a Registered Dental Assistant for years, I know my daughter doesn't have periodontal disease!! While waiting for my daughter, the front office staff just talked rude about each patient they would talk to on the phone. That is a big problem and very unprofessional since there was no glass for privacy and everyone in the waiting area could hear!! After her "cleaning" my daughter informed me how rough they were. The only person who treated her well was the dental assistant. She wasn't even given flouride treatment which is ALWAYS done after a youth cleaning!! The dentist even told my daughter her teeth would be messed up by the time she is 40 if she doesn't get treatment done on her teeth, like INVISILIGN. I definitely do not recommend this office!! ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!
