  • This company is fraudulent and untrustworthy. My A/C unit was going bad and so we placed a request to get it fixed by Choice home warranty. We kept up with all our necessary cleaning of the coils and maintaining it over the years so we assumed that since we did our job that we should have our home warranty company do theirs. Not the case at all. They sent out a company (Veteran Air Conditioning) to see what the problem was. After the technician came and did a through check he concluded it was normal wear and tear and that nothing on our part could have prevented this issue and that it needed to be replaced. He got on the phone with Choice Home Warranty and spoke to them while I was in the room so that I could hear him tell them that as he HIMSELF told me that Choice likes to deny claims by twisting the words of technicians. After him being on the phone with them while on speaker the whole time he even sent them pictures to show them that it was well maintained and the person on the phone kept saying "so you don't think this was the home owners lack of maintaining" and the technician while still on speaker kept telling them yes its WELL maintained. After that the person on the phone said ok, I will call the home owner and give them the results. The person on the phone never knew I was listening and RECORDING everything. They called me 2 minutes later saying, I am sorry ma'am but your claim was denied because your unit WAS NOT properly maintained. I then let them know that I have a recording of them on the phone with the whole conversation of what happened and the women on the phone was annoyed by that. I asked to speak to someone higher up and let them know that. That women then put someone higher up and I told her all what happened. She was angry and appalled that she HUNG UP. The technician from Veterans Air Conditioning was still there and she called him and he put it on speaker again and she was so rude and nasty and kept telling him he is no longer on this case and to leave my premises immediately. He told her that he didn't work for her and that they as a company should be honest since they do this A LOT. We are now in the process of filing a lawsuit.
