During our preparation for the US Club National Playdowns, we took a trip to the Bulldog Bonspiel at the East York Curling Club to get some team time in. The club did a great job hosting the event with events starting close to their scheduled time and the ice was at least as good as our home club. A touch on the dirty side but in general the ice was maintained well and ran cleanly.
Food was provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything we had was quite good. Lunch was sandwiches and soup (hit the spot after our first game) and the prime rib served for dinner was cooked well with plenty of rare meat for people like myself. Minnow races were held to keep people's attentions during some of the off times and everyone was very accommodating. A great group of people and a fun time on the curling ice.
Definitely considering coming back to this tournament next year!
