This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in here in Vegas or possibly ANYWHERE.
The Room: We paid for a room with a strip view. The first room we were given was comparable to Motel 6. The room was old, small, and outdated. The website only shows their newly remodeled rooms even though that is not what you get. Our strip view? Blocked completely by the legs of the stratosphere tower. After complaining we were moved to another room with a "view" and we're told we wouldn't be charged the view fee but still needed to pay $20 a day more for the nicer room. This room? View of the SLUMS and freeway and during our first shower, the shower head flew off and hit my husband in the back. Had to complain again. This time I was told we would be upgraded to a king spa room and it would be ready at 2pm the next day. Room #3 wasnt ready until 4:30 and we had to leave all of our belongings at the bell hop desk all day long until we could move. This room finally had a view of the strip.
General Complaints: The house keepers and people who work here are EXTREMELY LOUD. This is Vegas. People are trying to sleep around 8 am to 11 am. The maids and maintenance guys stand in the hallways yelling and laughing and doing everything they can to wake up the entire hotel. Want to sleep off that hangover? Hold on. Let me run the vacuum every 15 seconds while kackling like a witch outside of your door right next to your "Do Not Disturb" sign.
The AC only goes down to 68 and the room NEVER reached 68 degrees. Also, the unit is virtually silent so it doesn't even help to block out the sounds from outside of the room.
The ice machines are located on either end of each floor. The floors are HUGE. If you have a room anywhere in between, be prepared to have to hike for ice. Also, the ice bucket will allow for enough ice to make 4 drinks and it's metal, so your ice will melt within 30 mins.
The ONLY positive things we can say about the hotel is the about the view from the top of the Stratosphere and the food at their restaurant, McCall's.
DO NOT STAY HERE. PAY THE LITTLE MONEY MORE TO STAY ON THE STRIP AND TO GET A NICER HOTEL. IT'S NOT WORTH IT, HERE.
