This place has a great ambiance, totally appropriate for intimate gathering. Service was relatively prompt. We had the chicken pad Thai, beef green curry, and a scoop of the coconut ice cream. When we received the dishes I noticed immediately that the portion sizes were a little on the small side; I could probably count the bamboo shoots in the curry on 2 hands, and the rice came in the same size dish I used to serve butter in when I worked at a restaurant back in the day. It was easy to overlook a bit because the flavors on the noodles were definitely there, the green curry was good (not great), and the ice cream had good flavor even if the consistency had a lot to be desired. We ordered the entrees at a level-2 (of 4) in spice and I typically add more chili powder once it's on my plate but I was surprised when it had a nice little kick to it. If you're sensitive to spice, get the chili on the side. Overall, if it wasn't for the nice ambiance and the service this would for sure be a 3-Star review.
PROS:
Pad Thai (chicken) had good flavor.
Menu featured duck.
Ambiance is nice.
Service was prompt.
CONS:
Beef in our green curry was kind of tough.
No pork on the menu, whaaaa?!
Coconut ice cream was especially icy.
Where's the rest of my food? (Portion size, even on the side of rice were less than generous)
