Solid dinner here on our last night in Vegas. I've never been to the NY location so this was a real treat. As with most Vegas restaurants, the atmosphere is lacking but here the food and service were pretty top notch.
We were seated and given some yummy complimentary apps- a nice change of pace from most dinners now where you get charged just for a bread basket!
We ordered:
An appetizer special- figs stuffed with cheese, wrapped in prosciutto w/ a balsamic glaze- super tasty!
Their signature Ravioli stuffed with mushrooms in a creamy truffle sauce. Yum! Totally delicious. $50 was a bit insane but I'm glad I indulged this once
Their special Lobster Ravioli- good, nothing too amazing, I've had comparable ravioli elsewhere so not work the $48
The Tartufo desert-good, simple chocolate & vanilla ice cream sphere with a hard chocolate shell and whipped cream.
Not sure I'd go again because of the price but I'm glad I experienced it once. This is a "can't go wrong" Italian spot if you're ok with the price point. Also, once thing to note that was odd is that when the bill came there were 2 lines for tip- one for the Captain's Tip (basically our main waiter) and then a separate generic tip. There was no explanation given so I took the tip I wanted to give and split it 50/50 on each line. This kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Was the other tip for the busboys and other servers who came with the drinks, appetizers, etc? My husband referenced a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where something very similar happened with Larry and I immediately related.
