Good Museum, Horrible Pricing.
Keep in mind that I'm writing this as parents who grew up in other cities. So, while you hear a chorus of praises from the LV locals (who are sadly deprived of kids activities in this city), to people from other areas then it's really only "pretty good". Thats still a compliment because its a nice Childrens Museum, but it isn't really a solid value.
---Staff---
Wow. These people do not want to work here. Seriously, when your first moment is a forced greeting from an angry cashier then its already a bad start for the day.
---Facilities---
Its all new which is fantastic. Things are still clean and maintained. Theres several floors of fun but the ones that stood out for me were the water tables on the ground floor and the crafts on the top floor.
---Age Level---
Being 13 and pretending to be a grocery clerk is too close to real life so I'd say this is a 3-10 place. Anything over is going to be bored or feel awkward from all the toddler-centric activities.
---Price---
And this is where the negativity comes. $12!?!?! For a 1 year old that cant do ANYTHING here? Even our 3yr old was limited on activities. We get it, you got to charge for activities but Adults should be free because its not like we're doing the activities. Its purely for kids.
---Passes---
Pass options are ridiculous. My SIL in another state bought a family museum pass for $100. That gave them access to museums across the country and its a great value. This place is no longer a part of that Museum group so its $150 for this place and this place ONLY. No guest passes, no discounts, no coupons. Thats just not a place I can recommend.
Overall, I think this is great for locals but only "good enough" for visitors.
