My husband and I use Safelite Auto Glass through our insurance company whenever we have a chip in our windshield or if there is a major crack from a rock on the I-17 and the windshield has to be replaced.
So far this year beginning in April with a replacement windshield on our Fiat and this month, Oct. another replacement windshield on our Fiat due to a rock hitting our windshield both times on the I-17; Safelite has replaced the windshield each time.
The first time in April, we had to wait about 2 or 2 1/2 weeks because it had to come directly from the manufacturer Fiat, and this last time, when I reported the windshield having a major crack on Friday evening to our insurance company, we were scheduled on Saturday to bring our Fiat in on Wednesday at 12:30 pm. We arrived to this location on time and were immediately greeted by the friendly ladies in the office. Shortly after, a tech came out and looked at the windshield with us. He then took the key and told us it would probably be an 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (They already had our windshield this time, a huge plus).
We got comfortable in their tidy and inviting waiting room. There is cold bottled water and Keurig coffees, sugar and creamer available with a t.v. to watch. The time went by quickly.
Soon the tech reappeared and had our Fiat parked out front. My husband signed on an iPad and was handed the paperwork. We walked outside with the tech and were given some instructions about cracking the windows for the first 24 hours due to pressure that could build up and removing the tape on each side of the windshield after 24 hours.
They are very professional at Safelite: friendly, and caring.
