| - So I recently purchased a home in Surprise and it has a LOT of property. I sit on almost 3 acres and my front yard was horrible. I cleared all the weeds out and was left with an empty blank slate. We decided to go to Moon Valley on Cottonwood and look around for ideas. Not really knowing what we wanted or needed we were just walking around aimlessly looking at things. Then, after about 5 minutes of "looking", we were greeted by Ryan. He actually took the time to listen to our "wants" and it seemed as though he made mental notes of my ideas and my husband's ideas and magically combined our thought process into something magnificent! Ryan took the time to answer all our questions, provide knowledgable feedback, and assist in our design idea by pointing out differences in different trees and what would work and where they would work after showing him a pic of our front yard. With Ryan's help, we decided to go with ficus for the grand centerpiece and optimal shade while giving us the Midwest/East coast feel. We also went with some pineapple palms for a grand tropical entrance to our driveway and one for a super grand entrance to our front door. The queen palms that I loved...he made suggestions as to where they would have the most impact!! When Ryan came out to flag all our picks, he worked diligently with us providing his expertise as to where they should be placed exactly for the best curb appeal as well as functionality! He even helped us decide where to place our orange tree. I can't wait to make fresh squeezed orange juice!!!!!
When we made our final picks, the manager, Grant, helped us determine the best sizes and walked through the lot with us pointing out similarities of each tree for optimal symmetry and had a vast knowledge of each tree we picked. He pointed out to us height, age, trunk size and span so we could have THEE perfect look!!!! He was even able to get us on the schedule for next day planting!!!! How lucky were we that there was a cancellation and we would be able to see our fruition brought to life the very next day.
Once the next day came, we received a call from Eric in the morning explaining the game plan. I was so excited to see the truck pull up with my gorgeous (3) pineapple palms, (3) queen palms, and orange tree. He kept me informed that my (2) ficus would arrive a little later. He walked through each flag to make sure he knew what was going where and He and the amazing dig crew got to work. Eric kept me in the loop all morning long and as I peeked out my windows I could see my front yard transform before my eyes. The dig crew was amazing. I still don't understand how someone can dig a hole so fast. Almost like super man!!! And wow were they all very nice and personable in addition to hard-working!
I am truly astonished and pleased with choosing to go to Moon Valley on Cottonwood. These guys really know their trees. They even told me exactly how much water each tree needs and how often to water. They took the time to walk us through which drip lines to use and how to properly feed our new trees for optimal growth. They really are the best of the best. I am for sure going back to finish the shrubbery in the front of my house and I can't wait to go back and have them help me with my backyard paradise once my pool is built.
By far the best experience I have ever had with a nursery!!! Highly recommend Moon Valley on Cottonwood if you live in Surprise- or anywhere for that matter!!! You won't be disappointed!
