| - I have a love-hate relationship with Memorial Stairs.
For those of you who aren`t aware of this little torture chamber slightly north of Downtown, this is a top notch workout that is frequented by fitness levels of all ages, to haul our sorry butts up and down, up and down, up and down these massive stairs, in the interest of health and wellness.
Even though Memorial Stairs is not even remotely convenient fo rme, it is the perfect torture when I feel guilty for not working out, or for overindulging at Regency Palace or any other local buffet.
What I love about this area over all others, is that there are actually in my mind, two workouts.
The stairs themselves, and the hill that runs to the right of the stairs.
When I was in Bikini Bootcamp in 2008 at this location, we use to do lunges all the way up that hill. I kid you not!
even though the hill is a steady incline, it is still a very good workout. i tend to mix it up. Stairs up, Stairs down, Stairs up, Hill Down, Hill up. etc.
After 30 minutes. Im wasted. I aspire to 45 minutes.
If any of you are up for 30 (to 45 minutes) of hell. Message me. I need motivation to get there more than sporadically.
