  • Gems Boutique is an adorable little vintage store located inside the Colonial Arcade downtown. I just checked it out today. It has been there for five years, yet has virtually no online presence, so here it is! I wish I had got the owner's name, but she has been in the business of resale for 30 years. She had a lovely selection of clothing, accessories, and jewelry, as well as a lot of great housewares. Her prices are phenomenal. I tried on a great dress (that unfortunately didn't fit). It was $21. There is a lamp I'm thinking about going back to get, also $21. It's not estate sale cheap, but it's also half of the prices of other vintage boutiques around town. The space is small, quaint, and totally worth a look.
