  • Took a cab from Las Vegas airport to Treasure Island and it cost me close to $40 when it should have been around $20. The driver took the long way -- taking the freeway. Whenever you take a cab and you go through a tunnel -- it means you're getting ripped off and the driver is taking you the long way to double the fare. I put a stop on my credit card payment and I'm waiting for the cab company to call me so I can file an official complaint. I will also be calling the taxi commission to launch an investigation. WATCH OUT!!! NEVER Allow Cab Drivers Take The Freeway! ALWAYS use Las Vegas Blvd From and To the Airport. One last thing -- when I called the company to complain -- NO one returned my call.
