  • The first time I went to the Chuck Box, I felt like I had De Ja Vu. It seemed like it was exactly like the Original Hamburger Works in Phoenix. Were the same company? I still don't know! Either way, this is a decent place for a quick collegy burger lunch. I enjoy their bbq burgers, the smoky, backyard grill taste, and the cheap prices. However, I don't enjoy the staff and most everything else. Oh, and the clientele can be a little annoying too...as its across the street from ASU. (HAH). I'll give them one thing though-- I do still crave their fried mushrooms from time to time. If you're into this sort of place, I recommend Original Hamburger Works in downtown Phoenix-- less of a hassle, same exact menu, burgers, and condiments bar, but with far less attitude and an old fashioned cowboy bar.
